They decided to host a drone \u201csmackdown\u201d to see if one guy&#8217;s machine could take down another.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Wittes, architect of the event, is the founder of a national security blog called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawfareblog.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lawfare<\/a>\u201d and a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution.
