AMA met with multiple\u00a0<\/span><span>c<\/span><span>o<\/span><span>ngressional o<\/span><span>ffices\u00a0<\/span><span>to discuss the impact the proposed rule would have on all aspects of the hobby<\/span><span>. We were able to share\u00a0<\/span><span>our community&#8217;s concerns regarding the<\/span><span>\u00a0NPRM<\/span><span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span>gain<\/span><span>ed<\/span><span>\u00a0support from m<\/span><span>any on Capitol Hill<\/span><span>.<\/span><span>\u00a0 Many members of Congress have agreed to contact the FAA regarding our concerns.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span>Furthermore, there are many stakeholders within the industry that\u00a0<\/span><span>are equally concerned<\/span><span>\u00a0with the\u00a0<\/span><span>Remote ID\u00a0<\/span><span>NPRM<\/span><span>,\u00a0<\/span><span>and AMA is working with those organizations to show a united front against the proposal. AMA wants to come together as an industry to find a solution to Remote ID that promotes compliance from recreational users,\u00a0<\/span><span>one that\u00a0<\/span><span>makes sense and is not overly burdensome<\/span><span>\u00a0for users<\/span><span>. Soon, we will be asking members to contact their\u00a0<\/span><span>senators and\u00a0<\/span><span>representative.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Additionally, AMA attended a meeting with the FAA and the 11 other organizations that were selected\u00a0<\/span><span>to make recommendations for the upcoming recreational knowledge and safety test. We learned that many of the elements we advocated for regarding the recreational knowledge and safety test were accepted. AMA is working to find the best solution to provide the test to our members while ensuring\u00a0<\/span><span>a\u00a0<\/span><span>sensible<\/span><span>\u00a0approach and privacy concerns are addressed<\/span><span>.
