Over the next year, five to twelve communities will be selected by the FAA to test new drone programs in close coordination with the UAS industry as well as state and local governments.\u00a0Next year, one test program could include real-world drone package delivery.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Importantly, this pilot program does not change anything for AMA members. You can continue flying under AMA\u2019s community-based safety guidelines, as we have for decades.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\">AMA issued the following statement on today\u2019s announcement:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><i>\u201cWe look forward to seeing if the White House\u2019s new pilot program is a viable solution to helping local authorities and the\u00a0<\/i><i>UAS<\/i><i>\u00a0industry coordinate with the FAA and keep our skies safe for all.
