May 12-15, 2014 – AMA President Bob Brown, Executive Director Dave Mathewson and AMA’s Government Affairs Representative Rich Hanson joined nearly 600 other exhibitors at the AUVSI Unmanned Systems 2014 conference in Orlando, FL. This was the first time the AUVSI conference was held in May and the first time AMA exhibited at the annual event.<\/p>\n

The AUVSI conference was packed with 3-days of seminars, symposiums and live demonstrations of unmanned systems technology. Prominent speakers included Rep John Mica (R-FL) chairman of the subcommittee on Government Operations in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Rep Frank Lobiondo (R-NJ) chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s subcommittee on Aviation, Lt Gen Kevin Magnum deputy commanding general and chief of staff of the US Army Training and Doctrine Command, and Mr. Jim Williams executive manager of the FAA UAS Integration Office.<\/p>\n
