Unacceptable behavior endangering lives and the future of the hobby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an article reported by Larry Pynn of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouversun.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Vancouver Sun<\/em><\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vancouversun.com\/life\/Transport+Canada+RCMP+investigate+unmanned+vehicle+close+commercial+flights\/9764722\/story.html\" target=\"_blank\">Transport Canada and RCMP investigate \u2018unmanned air vehicle\u2019 close to commercial flights<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Transport Canada and the RCMP are investigating videos posted on YouTube showing an \u201cunmanned air vehicle\u201d flying near Vancouver International Airport (less than 1.5 miles from the approach end of RNW 26R) and over Vancouver Harbour, the site of commercial float-plane operations.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DWuuzDhfjqk\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Steve Hughes, a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maac.ca\/home.php?pflg=e\" target=\"_blank\">Model Aeronautics Association of Canada<\/a> (MAAC) board of directors, said the UAV is clearly not flying in accordance with his organization\u2019s rules.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a totally unacceptable use of such equipment, something we\u2019re trying to prevent,\u201d he said in an interview. \u201cIt\u2019s pilots like these who can give the hobby a black eye&#8230;
