Camp AMA 2023 Will Offer All-New Experiences Alongside Past Favorites

As Camp AMA approaches, here at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana have spent a lot of time thinking about what has made the program so special in years past. Of course there's the great opportunities for building lifelong friendships, connections, and enjoying a great hobby together, but we're also very proud of the way Camp has introduced young aeromodelers to new aspects of model aviation, and encouraged to develop their skills and interests in exciting ways.

This year, Camp AMA, which will be held from June 11-17 on-site at the IAC, will offer a combination of activities from prior programs and all-new additions, so whether you have attended Camp AMA in the past or not, you'll be sure to have a uniquely new summer experience!

Most excitingly, we will be taking a field trip to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio! As one of the oldest and largest aviation museums in the world, we can think of no better or more inspiring way to kick off a memorable week of all things flying than the chance to see world-changing aviation history up close and in person.

This year's program will also include a workshop early in the week in order to go over basic electronics and maintenance skills, so that no matter what mishaps may occur throughout the week, every Camper will be equipped to get themselves back in the air in short order, or help a friend do the same!

We are also pleased to announce that Allan Goff, a longtime friend of the AMA, will be a part of this year's program with a special presentation of control-line model aviation!

We're excited to introduce a uniquely rewarding form of flying to the next generation of modelers.

And as always, Camp AMA will be full of engineering challenges built around problem-solving, fabrication, kit-bashing, and a lot more! If you have any questions about this year's program, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Education team at [email protected] and we will be happy to address them!
