2017 TAG Grant Winners Announced

The TAG grant program was introduced to encourage our members and clubs to promote modeling as a positive recreational activity to those in their communities, TAG was the first of several programs implemented by AMA in 2007. Intended primarily to indoctrinate and welcome the general public to our hobby, TAG grants provide assistance to clubs to host open house style events to showcase all that model aviation has to offer.

  1. Years ago, I Horrace D. Cain, upon leaving United Airlines,(leaving due to my age 60) as a
Boeing 727 Captain,(now they can go to 65) found and purchased 100 acres of fine farm-land north-east of the Houston area. 50 of those acres were delivered to JETERO RC CLUB. Jetero now has an excellent RC facility. (I made some $$$ HA!) I sold off the remainder $$ to land that would become payment for the entire 100 acres. Jetero and myself made a few $$ which allowed
Jetero RC Club membership to have a great flying facility. It is very fine even after a strong Hurricane that blew the club to HECK several years ago. We rebuilt it!
I will soon be back flying again as my problem of skull-Fracture 0f 2.6 years ago seems to now
getting less than the situation just a few months ago. Sure Hope so!
If you are in the Area, feel free to get with Jetero RC Club, a fine group of Aero-Modelers.
Posted by Horrace D. Cain, RC Flier soon to get back into the #1 fun for model airplanes.
