2016 Youth Leadership Award Winners Announced

The AMA Youth Leadership Award was created to recognize the accomplishments of our youth members. It is for youth that are volunteering at club fly-ins, encouraging his or her peers to get involved in aeromodeling, helping club members improve their piloting skills, and sharing the joy of the hobby with his or her community. Individuals were nominated by other club or community members, and selected individually from each district. These winners then went on to compete for the national award. The national award recipient received a sponsorship to Camp AMA and a plaque that will be on display at the National Model Aviation Museum in Muncie, Indiana. The AMA would like to recognize Adam Enggasser as the 2016 national Youth Leadership Award winner. Adam has contributed much of his time instructing other fliers, creating a community-based youth aviators group, coordinating weekly build meetings, and supporting his local RC club by providing demonstrations at an area science center just to name a few!
