It is very busy for me right now because flying season is in full swing. I want to start out this report with a submission from District XI Associate Vice President Mike Ingram.

On May 2, the Wenatchee Red Apple Flyers in Wenatchee, Washington, held its annual Apple Blossom Fly-in, with Dave Moline officiating the event. The weather cooperated and there was little to no wind most of the day. There were all kinds of aircraft in attendance, including a couple of jets flown by District XI Vice President Phil Tallman. The event was well attended, with several out-of-area fliers in attendance. It was also nice to see local spectators taking in the event.

In May, I attended Joe Nall Week at Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, South Carolina. This one needs to be on everyone’s list; it is the largest event of its kind in the US. I am always impressed with the new products and the flying demonstrations.

Next, I spent Memorial Day at Weaver’s Airfield in Othello, Washington, which had great flying as always. Here are a couple of pictures:

Lastly, I attended the Northwest Scale Aero-Modelers Silver Hills Scale Rally spring opener at the Silver Hills R/C Flyers club field in Athol, Idaho. It did not have the best weather, and the turnout was a little low; still, there were 18 entries. We got in four rounds by sheer determination.
