It\u2019s been another <\/b><\/span>fast month. By the time you have this issue, Thanksgiving will be upon us and most of our area will be coming to the end of the flying season. I\u2019m looking forward to our local upcoming Chili Fly, and there will be a few more events such as Frozen Thumb fly-ins, etc., to look forward to. For many the indoor flying season will start soon, too.<\/p>\n

The building season is upon us as well. If you have an interesting building project going on, send me some \u201cin progress\u201d pictures and a blurb about the project, and I\u2019ll see if I can work it into the column.<\/p>\n

Many of you <\/b>are already aware that the AMA is taking over what used to be the Westchester Radio AeroModelers (WRAM) Show from the club. It will become AMA Expo East. The dates for the show are February 24-26, 2017, and it will be held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center at Harmon Meadow in Secaucus, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

I expect there might be some minor changes to the show\u2019s format, but it should still be good. I\u2019m looking forward to attending this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

This past month<\/b>, I spent a few days at a gathering known as NashBro, held in the quaint little town of Leiper\u2019s Fork, Tennessee. This long-running event was started by Jim T. Graham, also known as Billy Hell, who also serves as the contest director. Jim is credited for starting the Profile Brotherhood (ProBro) movement.<\/p>\n

There were 50-plus pilots in attendance, many of whom are capable 3-D pilots. There was a large variation of airplanes, primarily 3-D profiles. As with many other groups of modelers, the people are friendly and most would give you the shirts off their backs if it would get you in the air and flying.<\/p>\n

I had a great time hanging out, talking with pilots and spectators, flying, watching, and eating.<\/p>\n

By the time <\/b>you read this we should know who the next AMA president will be. I hope you made your voice heard by voting.<\/p>\n
