We are very fortunate the City of Canton has allowed one of its parks to host a model aviation event for the first time. We hope to make it an annual event. Brown Industrial Pkwy. ends at entry to park – veer left and follow road to large grass area surrounded by sidewalk.

Canton is located near the foot of the North Georgia mountains. The area has an abundance of great trails, rivers, apple orchards and vineyards, and this time of year is perfect for visiting the apple orchards and their stores. In addition, there are outlets south of Canton. Canton is on the I-575 CORRIDOR about 17 miles Nth of Marietta, GA. I-575 begins at Exit 268 off of I-75. I-575 splits off to the right near Marietta, GA. Mapquest has an excellent map under ETOWAH RIVER PARK showing all of the Canton area.

MOTELS IN CANTON, GEORGIA:

COUNTY INN and Suites, 705 Transit Ave (770) 345-6800(rate-$110-hotel web, Expedia)

ECONO LODGE INN & SUITES, 138 Keith Dr. (770)345-1994or 1-800-4choice (rate- $80-Booking.com, $90-hotel web.)

HAMPTON INN, 710 Transit Ave. Canton (770)345-7400 x 500(rate-$159, Expedia, Priceline, Hotel.com

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS, 713 Transit Ave. Canton (770)479-7300(rate-hotel web, Bookingscom, Expedia)

HOMESTEAD INN, 1615 Ball Ground Hwy.
