Recently, AMA AVP and president of the Oklahoma Sooner Squadron Bill Holland, along with his club, worked together to initiate a tornado relief fund campaign to raise money for the recent tornado destruction in Oklahoma City OK. The club along with other AMA clubs and members came together to raise a total of $2501.00 which was then provided to the American Red Cross in Oklahoma City. All of the money will be spent on victims impacted only in Oklahoma.

The AMA also offers a program to help those chartered clubs that suffer damage to their sites through natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquake, fire, or similar catastrophic events. AMA offers limited financial assistance (up to $500 per incident) to help clubs with the repairs needed to make sure that the damaged flying site is again accessible and usable to club members. Donations are accepted to help the Academy provide funds to these clubs.
