As the August 1st deadline approaches, 162 clubs have now registered for National Model Aviation Day. Some clubs have been sharing the details of their events and sending in samples of event flyers showing the exciting activities they are planning. Best of luck to all clubs on their events, we hope you have fun, raise donations and share your love of model flying with everyone while supporting a great cause.<\/p>\n

Also, we recently received notification that another state received\u00a0its proclamation naming August 17th as National Model Aviation Day.\u00a0A big congratulations to the state of Missouri and those responsible for receiving this proclamation!<\/p>\n

Registration for the national event will end on August 1, so please make sure to visit www.nationalmodelaviationday.org<\/a>.org to sign your club up before the deadline passes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All registered clubs will receive access to the club resources page, which has information about publicizing your event and making it a success. All club registered by August 1 will also receive National Model Aviation Day stickers at no cost. <\/strong>These stickers can be used to put on your planes, cases, gear, notebooks, whatever you want! Show your pride that you participated in the first annual National Model Aviation Day. Stickers will be mailed out to clubs, not club flying sites, after the August 1st registration ends.<\/p>\n

Information about applying for a state proclamation is also available on the club resources page. We encourage all clubs to do this. Indiana has recently proclaimed the date as Model Aviation Day.
