{"id":547,"date":"2012-09-28T16:38:14","date_gmt":"2012-09-28T16:38:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amablog.modelaircraft.org\/amaclubs\/?p=547"},"modified":"2012-09-28T16:38:14","modified_gmt":"2012-09-28T16:38:14","slug":"high-fliers-to-hold-fundraiser-for-wounded-warrior-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amablog.modelaircraft.org\/amaclubs\/2012\/09\/28\/high-fliers-to-hold-fundraiser-for-wounded-warrior-project\/","title":{"rendered":"High-fliers to hold fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Posted by the Charleston Gazette, September 27, 2012 by Megan Workman<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 6, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvflyers.moonfruit.com\/\">Flying Hillbillies Flying RC Club<\/a> will hold a fundraiser at the airfield to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer, president of the club, and about 40 other members of the radio-controlled model airplane club in Putnam County will show off their flying skills during the group&#8217;s air show.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the show and sponsors will benefit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woundedwarriorproject.org\/\">Wounded Warrior Project<\/a>. The organization provides tangible, practical support for wounded troops who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>At least three aircraft will be flying in the sky at one time during the show, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flying Hillbillies&#8217; airfield.
