Have you ever wanted to experience the thrill of flying airplanes without leaving the ground?<\/p>\n

\u00a0If so, radio controlled (r\/c) flying might be just the pastime for you.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The hobby has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years, and there are more than a dozen Connecticut flying clubs – many offering training and a safe place to fly airplanes with other enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For those interested in a taste of remote aviation, the Wintonbury Flying Club of Bloomfield<\/a> is sponsoring a radio control demonstration and swap meet on Sunday, October 7th at the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Route 75 at Bradley Airport.<\/p>\n

“The 1st Annual Great New England R\/C Swap Meet” will be part of the museum’s “open cockpit” event where visitors can also see, touch and sit inside of historic American fighter planes on display.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Members of the Wintonbury club<\/a> will offer information, demonstrations and have an r\/c simulator for visitors to experience.<\/p>\n
