WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES AEROMODELING AT THE HANGAR EVENT<\/p>\n

2\/15\/2014<\/p>\n

As a long standing tradition, Wings over the Rockies once again hosted the Aeromodeling at the Hangar event. With the continuous efforts from multiple personel, the event continues.<\/p>\n

Many aspects of aero modeling from free flight to control line to radio control and even robotics were on display.\u00a0 All the local clubs in the area were represented.\u00a0 Some had flight simulators for want to be RC pilots.\u00a0 Most had club information and handouts available. \u00a0Some had interactive events such as the make and take foam plate gliders.<\/p>\n

With the help from the AMA and a buddy box system, many people helped with the long line of people wanting to fly planes and quad copters.\u00a0 Steve Gram from the Miniature Aero Sportsters, Norm Burger, district 9 AVP from Jeffco Aero Modelers, Joe Pirozzoli, public relations officer from Arvada Associated Modelers, Dylan Neff from Airpark Elite and Tom Neff, district 9 AVP, also from Airpark Elite assisted all afternoon.<\/p>\n

The make and take foam plate gliders were provided by the AMA. Dylan and Tyler Neff, with the help from their friend Susie, built and distributed planes to all that passed by.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This RC plane accidently landed in the cockpit of a full scale fighter, one of many real aircraft on display at the Wings over the Rockies museum.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
