The Academy established a program in the mid-1960s for local AMA members to join together as a group and secure use of private, commercial or public property for flying sites. This was structured under the concept of organized groups, which were identified as AMA Chartered Clubs. Today, the Academy provides liability coverage to approximately 2,400 chartered clubs throughout the United States.
Reminder all Flying Site Grant Applications are due to you district vice president by March 1. If your club is in need of a new shelter, pilot stations, runway etc…this is your opportunity to have AMA assist financially with the AMA Flying Site Improvement Grant Program.
