They are here! We have received the 2016 club officer lapel pins from the manufacturer and we will start mailing them this week. Please allow 10 to 14 business days for the pins to arrive.
There are still more than 200 clubs that have not yet renewed their charter for 2016. If you have misplaced the forms, simply send us an email and we will forward the appropriate forms to you!
Lapel Pin for Club Secretary AND Club Treasurer.
I have no idea what the log is on this pin. It is not anything I’ve ever seen and certainly isn’t aeronautical or AMA – looks like a blue flame.
There is a flame on the AMA logo. I think we are promoting the use of natural gas, or it is for the Jet guys.
Thanks for your comments! We received a couple of inquiries regarding the blue flame and its connection with AMA. When looking at the current logo, many people focus on the wings in the logo and miss the flame, which is a part of the torch.
Throughout the past 80 years, AMA’s logo has changed. The wings have lengthened and shortened, AMA was moved below the iconic symbols, “Since 1936” was added, and more changes have taken place for special celebrations. But the wings, torch, and the flame consistently remain—and we certainly never want to see the flame extinguished!
Should be “logo” not “log”.
Who do I contact to join and come check out the field?
Club contact information can be found by using the AMA club locator
