In the mid-1960s AMA established a program that gave local AMA members the opportunity to join together as a group, enjoy camaraderie, exchange modeling tips and tricks, and secure use of flying sites. AMA currently charters 2400 clubs throughout the United States.
Why should your group become an AMA Chartered Club?
There is a variety of benefits available to chartered clubs: liability insurance (for the club entity, its officer, and flying site property owners), grants for flying site development or improvement, financial reward for public relations coverage, and many other programs.
You can find more information about chartering your club in the Club Charter Kit or by contacting clubs@modelaircraft.org.
