Last year’s s Second annual Holiday Electric Fly 2011 was held at The Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio
on December 2-3-4. It was a great event with 214 registered pilots and over 800 airplanes. The Great
Complex is 550 x250 with several flying areas active all the time. Different events are held throughout the three
days of fun including combat, pylon open, Ulta light carrier landing, 3D comp and musical airplanes. Santa
even visited the youngsters as a special surprise.
The Spire Institute complex is large with 3 active flight stations going all three days. The hall houses a full size
football field an olympic size track and several other track events Under a 75’ ceiling. The center has Seating
for several hundred spectators a lunch stand and a sit down food court area. There is plenty of room for
more sponsors.
The Third annual Holiday Electric Fly 2012 will be held at The Spire Institute December 7-8-9.
At least 300 registered pilots and over 1000 airplanes are expected for the show. Several fun events are
scheduled for the three day event including combat, pylon open, Ulta light carrier landing, 3D comp and
musical airplanes. Santa is expected on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
