Many clubs have been hosting meetings to update their members on the new rule for Remote ID. AMA has several resources for clubs and members to reference for Remote ID that will hopefully make the upcoming requirements easier to understand. Here is a PowerPoint presentation that details the new rule, including the three ways to comply and common FAQs. AMA suggests sharing this PowerPoint with club members or at club meetings.
Additionally, AMA has made several blog posts regarding Remote ID and has provided a summary of the FAA’s Final Rule. AMA also has guidance regarding the FAA registration renewal process and information on the upcoming Knowledge and Safety Test.
AMA will continue to provide updates regarding any new developments on the implementation of Remote ID, the upcoming recreational knowledge test, the release of AC 91-57C, and other issues affecting the model aircraft community.
