If you haven’t had a chance to order your Alpha for the postal contest, there’s still time! The AMA Alpha youth postal contest deadline has been extended to Monday, April 16th. The AMA Youth member that records the longest flight time with the Alpha will receive an AMA jacket and plaque! Second and third place winners will also receive an award. Contest rules and ordering information can be found at https://amaflightschool.org/alpha.
Looks like fun! What a great way to teach the fundamentals of flight!
Can’t seem to find an entry form or place to submit the flight time and youtube video other than to youtube. Assume the youth’s AMA # should be put on the right wing panel. Any more info other than the pdf of the rules would be most appreciated
Hi Wayne,
After uploading their video on YouTube, the youth member can then paste the url into the entry form. There is also a place for their AMA number on the entry form. Contest information and entry can both be found at https://amaflightschool.org/alpha. Please reach out to education@modelaircraft.org with any questions, we’d be happy to help!
Would seem a one year AMA membership and magazine subscription would also be an appropriate award.
