In a celebration of education, innovation, and aeronautics, the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) recently played host to the distinguished recipients of the Air and Space Forces Association (AFA) Teacher of the Year awards.
The AMA Foundation offers various scholarships, with nearly $40,000 available this year. Eligible students can receive up to $15,000 for the academic year starting in fall 2024, with criteria including AMA membership, community involvement, and academic excellence. The AMA Education team is excited to open registration for the 2024 season of the Heavy-Lift Challenge, a program that develops flying skills, meteorology knowledge, and engineering abilities. The competition offers flexibility in scheduling and site selection, and participants are automatically enrolled in a Ground School course for support.
